FounderWith over 25 years of leadership in ophthalmic device commercialization, John has helped introduce and scale dozens of technologies across intraocular lenses (IOLs), femtosecond lasers, phaco platforms, and complex surgical instrumentation. From premium cataract solutions to diagnostics for the most challenging corneas, his career has been defined by successful product launches, trusted surgeon relationships, and a deep understanding of the U.S. ophthalmic landscape.
John’s experience spans global commercial leadership roles at companies like AMO, Bausch + Lomb, AcuFocus, and Microsurgical Technology, where he built sales teams, developed go-to-market strategies, and led growth across surgical and diagnostic categories. He has twice served as interim president, managed full P&L responsibility, and built national selling networks from the ground up.

Alan has partnered with Ophthalmology to deliver advanced technology which enhances patients vision for over 25 years. Holding leadership positions at AMO, Bausch and Lomb, and Accufocus, Alan has led national teams of leaders, sales, and clinical professionals dedicated to successful patient outcomes utilizing cutting-edge technology.
Alan's deep understanding of physician education, and practice development comes from his hands-on approach working with practices across the country to launch 12 advanced technology IOLs in addition to Excimer and Femto lasers, and the entire suite of ophthalmic surgical equipment and devices.
